Guy's and St Thomas' apprenticeships scheme wins again

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust has won the Healthcare Recruitment Award at the Health Business Awards for the second year running.
The judges noted that improved recruitment processes at Guy’s & St Thomas’ are effectively enabling larger cohorts of apprentices. The programme was recognised for its inclusivity and for the support it offers candidates throughout the recruitment selection process.
The Trust’s multi-award winning apprenticeship programme is run with support from the National Skills Academy for Health and Hawk Training.
Marian Fitzgerald, ATA Apprentice Coordinator for the National Skills Academy for Health, said: “I’m delighted that Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust have won the Health Business Award for Recruitment for the second year running.
“It’s an excellent programme offering great employment opportunities, with 66% of those successfully completing apprenticeships in 2015/16 going on to permanent jobs in the Trust.”
The Health Business Awards ceremony, hosted by Dr Sarah Jarvis, was held on 29 November 2016 at the Grange Hotel in London.
