The National Skills Academy for Health's City and East London Excellence Centre is hosted by Barts Health NHS Trust. As the regional hub, we are developing strong collaborations between training providers and healthcare employers from the public, independent and voluntary sectors to design and deliver new learning resources for healthcare support staff, share training expertise and make best use of skills development facilities.

Diary date: Education and training provider meeting
The City and East London Excellence Centre inaugural education and training provider meeting will take place on 14 January 2017 (11:00 – 13:00) at Newham College, East Ham Campus.
Regional Advisory Group meetings
The City and East London Regional Advisory Group (RAG) will be made up of key personnel from employers that are part of the Employer Partner network. The Group will support the ongoing development of the City and East London Excellence Centre and inform and advise on local issues that may be pertinent to identifying local training needs. They will also help build the network and liaise with the National Advisory Group. If you think you would like to be part of the Regional Advisory Group, please contact Christine.
City and East London Excellence Centre launch event
The City and East London Excellence Centre was launched at an event at Mile End Hospital on 14th September 2016.
Commenting on the new Excellence Centre, Andrew Attfield, Assistant Director of Public Health at Barts Health NHS Trust, said: “I am proud that our support workers will directly benefit from development opportunities at the new NSA Health excellence centre.
"From radiography and health care assistants to receptionists, they support our patients at every point of their care.
"Ensuring a high quality workforce is vital to providing safe and compassionate care, which is why I am delighted that our patients and staff will benefit from this innovative partnership between education, health and social care.”

Join the Delivery Partner network
We are looking for providers with a proven track record of delivering high quality training to the health sector to join us. FE colleges, training providers, health sector employers with a training arm and other stakeholders who meet the set entry criteria can apply to become a Delivery Partner.
